The Jenkins family of Beachley Lodge were largely responsible for the church and the adjacent schoolroom.

Longstaff Bruce says:
I visited St John’s last week [5 Jul 18]. All seemed in good order with the churchyard grass recently mown. My g-mother Harriet is buried there with Geo Snitch her second husband. Next to the grave is a large ‘sarsen’ stone. Any information? The couple lived at Rose Cottage from about 1917.
I have my uncle’s (James Christopher Longstaff] account of why the Army Apprentice College is located where it is. Could scan & circulate.
Further family, Edwards, Johns, buried at St Luke’s Tutshill.

I would love a copy especially since I am an old Beachley boy.
